A Dog With A Crooked Face And A Golden Heart Finding A Family To Love

Woody was looking for a forever family after a difficult start in life… We now have some heartwarming news to share.

A dog with a crooked face is looking for a forever home. Woody was attacked by another dog when he was only 5 weeks old, according to S.N.A.R.R Animal Rescue Northeast, and was “allowed to heal on his own with no veterinary attention.”

SNARR stepped in to help Woody after learning that he was tied outside and had been abandoned by his owners. Woody was left alone for six weeks, surviving on the kindness of neighbors who fed him, until word reached SNARR.

“Woody’s ‘family’ moved out and abandoned him at the residence,” SNARR writes on Facebook. “We were asked to take him into rescue, and of course we said yes!”

Woody is in good health, despite his uneven face. “He simply looks a little different,” his rescuers observe, “which doesn’t concern us in the least. In fact, it’s what made us fall in love with him even more.”

His rescuers were smitten by more than just his appearance. They quickly discovered that the Pit Bull had a large heart.

Woody’s foster mother was not pleased when he arrived at his foster home.

“The first day we got Woody, I was sick with a fever,” foster parent Jamie Bond told The Dodo. “He could tell there was something wrong and never left my side. He spent the entire afternoon on the couch cuddling with me. He’s become my shadow, constantly following me around and making sure I’m safe. Woody likes to curl up on the bed and rest his head on my chest.”
