An Elderly Gentleman Rescues Stray Dogs And Takes Them On A Train Ride

Eugene Bostick had been retired for more than 20 years when a dog caught his attention and tugged at his heartstrings. Then there were more, until Eugene couldn’t take it any longer. The Fort Worth, Texas, resident lives in a rural area where unwanted dogs are frequently dumped. It hurt him to see these animals wandering aimlessly, unsure of what had happened to their loved ones. They lacked both fresh water and food.

Their hearts had been shattered, and they had become disoriented. Eugene lavishes the puppies with affection. He renames them and gives them a friendly pat on the head when he greets them.

Eugene’s 12-acre farm, where ducks, geese, tortoises, bunnies, goats, and birds live, is a favorite hangout for the pups. Eugene, on the other hand, did not believe that simply looking after them and providing them with necessities was sufficient. He had to go above and beyond the call of duty. Eugene continued to help needy puppies while also adding a new title to his resume: train conductor.

Eugene puts the dogs in his care in their own tiny barrel, complete with a safety harness, and takes them for a ride around the neighborhood or the nearby woodland area a couple of times a week. This is such a heartwarming story!
