Injured Dog ‘Extremely Grateful’ After Search-And-Rescue Team Carries Him Down Hiking Trail

Recently on July 24 El Paso County Search and Rescue got a call about a dog who needed their help. The hiker dog was down from Barr Camp, a campsite located on the Barr Trail on Pikes Peak.

The rescue team carried him all the way down in a stretcher. They posted the photo on their Facebook page and it turned out that the dog’s name was Roland. His dad commented on the post. Roland and his dad were very grateful to the whole group of rescuers who took the dog from 3,800 feet.
