Arrow is a little dog who, although he is now as happy as his videos and photos show, had the most difficult and heartbreaking start in life. Anyone who saw him in his heartbreaking condition as a puppy would have condemned him to certain death.
But he never imagined that fate would send him true angels as parents who would ignore his deformity – shocking to many – and love him as he is.
Arrow arrived at the doors of the animal rescue organization PMM Rescue Inc. as a baby, in a pitiful state. There, they discovered that his jaw was terribly broken, which coincided with a severe bite he had received from another canine. Unfortunately, his lower right jaw could no longer be saved.
It was so necrotic and infected that it smelled like a rotting corpse. So the only option was to remove the dead bone. The vets had no choice but to remove the entire lower right side of the jaw and cut off part of the upper right side.
Dr. Sidhu, of Bakersfield, California, was the hero who performed the delicate and lengthy surgery on Arrow for several hours. He didn’t want to leave until he had saved Arrow’s life and devotedly cared for the little dog.
While the assault he suffered leaves irreversible scars on his little face, the same cannot be said for his personality, which has been bright and bubbly since he was a toddler.
His story has gone viral thanks to a beautiful video that reveals his sad beginnings, but above all, the great warrior and creature of light that he has become thanks to so much love that surrounded him at all times.
Arrow loves to eat, play ball, learn new tricks, drink water while making the biggest mess….. Although his favorite activities are cuddling, slobbery kisses, naps, sleeping a little longer in the morning and accompanying his parents on long evening walks.
Regardless of his physical defect, and any limitations he may have, his family loves him just the way he is. Because, although he is now 2 years old, Arrow has never left his puppy personality behind. He has always been active and playful at all hours of the day, and he truly knows that he is the most loved in his home, so he enjoys it and “does what he wants”.
Although his family is used to having to pick up the hundreds of kibbles that fall out of his crooked mouth when he eats, chasing him around the house and having to clean up after him every time he makes a mess, his owner wouldn’t trade him for anything.
